Tata Buzzard is expected to use the Hyundai sourced 6-speed torque converter unit. A 6-speed manual transmission will be offered as standard
Tata Harrier 7-seater or also called as Buzzard in global markets has been spotted again but now it carried an automatic gearbox. It is said that it will gets a Hyundai sourced 6-speed torque converter unit and the new transmission will also be seen on the Harrier. An all wheel drive system is expected on the cards too.
Tata Buzzard will carry the same FCA sourced 2.0-litre engine with a manual and automatic gearbox. The engine will be tuned to produce 170 bhp and torque will stick to 350 Nm, like seen on the Harrier.
Mind you, this same engine is seen on the Harrier, Jeep Compass and the popular MG Hector. Ever since the Hector has been launched, the sales of the Harrier has been dropping for each month.

The height is also increased by 80 mm to 1,786 mm. And it sits on 18-inch alloy wheels which were showcased at the Geneva Motor Show.
Also, the front look if the car will be mostly shared with the Tata Harrier 5 seater but it is the rear profile which will distinguish itself from the ongoing model. The rear is now tall and bulky unlike the coupe-like roofline seen on the Harrier.
There is a rear spoiler which gives the SUV a unique look. The rear of the Buzzard makes the SUV taller than the Harrier. Also, on the inside the third row of seating will get its AC vents, charging sockets and USB connectivity.
Talking about the features, then we can expect a larger touchscreen infotainment unit which supports Apple CarPlay and Android Auto as connectivity features. Also, the SUV can also see push button start, automatic climate control, park assist, semi-digital instrument cluster and among others.
