Once the new 130 Trim of the Land Rover Defender comes then the prices of the same will be increased automatically
Land Rover just launched the 90 and 110 trims of the Defender internationally. And new information has been leaked that the 130 variant of the Land Rover Defender will soon be launched before 2021.
The 130 trim of the Land Rover Defender gets 8-seat in total and uses the same platform on which the 110 variant is built. It will use the five door configuration, just like the 110. The 90 trim comes in three door configuration.
The 130 trim of Defender is 342 mm longer than the 110 trim. In total, the overall length of the upcoming version is 5.1 mm. This trim of the Defender mainly focuses on families who love to travel and go on a good expedition.

This long trim will only increase in length so to accomodate the extra set of bench in the third row. Also, on the inside, it will carry the same changes as it comes in the new models.
You get a 10-inch infotainment display with an all digital 12-inch instrument cluster. It comes with a JLR’s latest software which is much more user friendly than before and provides a good sound quality.
Also, there will be physicals buttons present for the climate control and numerous vehicle settings. The AC vents have been integrated above the dashboard design and it looks pretty good.
This trim will also carry varied engine options randing from a 2.0L diesel and 2020 Land Rover Defender will have the option of four engine options. There’s a 2.0-litre inline-four turbocharged diesel engine in two states of tune – D200 with 200 PS and 430 Nm of torque and D240 with 240 PS and 430 Nm of torque.

Further, there’s a 2.0-litre 4-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine with 300PS and 400Nm of torque and lastly, there’s the top-spec 3.0-litre 6-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine with mild-hybrid technology that puts out 400 PS and 550 Nm of torque.
It is sure that the prices of the upcoming 8-seater Defender, nametag 130, will be priced marginally higher than its other trims when it is launched. The main competition is the Mercedes Benz G63.
The hardcore offroader never came to the Indian markets. But with the new design, we can say that by 2020 the Defender might come to our shores. It is not sure that which trim it will be launched in but we expect it to be the five door configuration and it should be offered in both petrol and diesel engines.
