The Black Edition of the Mini Countryman gets an overhaul treatment on the exterior and interior department. Sadly, the mechanicals of this black beauty remains the same.
Just yesterday, Mini launched the mean looking limited edition of the Countryman called Black Edition. And sure the car looks fantastically popping in its stealth mode and gives an oomph with its raw appeal.
The Mini Countryman Black edition is based on the Cooper S John Cooper Works (JCW) variant and sadly this beautiful looking machine is limited to just 24 units. Talking about the engine specifications then it gets the same four cylinder engine.
The 2.0-litre motor is seen on the other models and it churns out 189 bhp on tap with a peak torque of 280 Nm. Transmission is handled by an eight speed automatic transmission. The 0-1000 km/h speed is achieved in under 8 seconds.

Since the car only sees cosmetic changes so there are a lot of things which appeal to the naked eye. For starters, as the name suggests the Countryman receives an all-black treatment on the exteriors and interiors.
Adding more information then the front profile sees a black ornamental grille, carbon fibre JCW mirror caps, piano black surrounds for the headlights and taillights and among other black colour detailing on all over the car.
The rear profile sees ‘Countryman’ lettering in black colour at the tailgate and the car receives black roof rails. One might also observe the matt black bonnet stripes and the larger 18-inch alloy wheels which does the justice of this recently launched special edition, Countryman.

Now talking about the interiors of the car, you will see a JCW inspired steering wheel first followed by an all-black treatment. Further a Mini wired package, panoramic sunroof, heads up display (HUD), two zone climate control air conditioning, a large 8.8-inch touchscreen infotainment display with Apple Car Play and Android Auto as connectivity features.
The car also receives keyless entry, automatic tailgate, auto headlamps and wipers, powered front seats are some of the other convenience features the car gets. The sound system is from Harmon and Kardon.
Safety features on this car include driver and front passenger airbags, Anti lock Braking System with Electronic Brake Force Distribution, Electronic Stability Program, Brake Assist, Rear Parking Sensors, Reverse Camera and among others.
The Mini Countryman Black Edition is priced at Rs 42.40 lakh. With this price tag, it competes with the likes of Audi Q3, Mercedes GLA, Volvo XC40 and BMW X1. All prices stick to ex-showroom, Delhi.
