This Is How The Mahindra XUV400 Could Look Like – Rendered Image

The XUV400 (codenamed S204) or also Mahindra XUV300 7-Seater will borrow most of the features from the compact SUV, XUV300. The alloy wheels will be different, it will be longer, restyled front fascia and among others.

Mahindra has been working on a new SUV which will fill the gap between the XUV500 and XUV300. And several spy shots of the Mahindra XUV400 has been spied on the Indian roads and with those, we bring you a rendered image of how the SUV may look like.

The front fascia of the rendered image of Mahindra XUV400 takes design inspiration from the big SUV, XUV500 rather than the XUV300. And the sides of the SUV gives a subtle hint of XUV500.

Basically, the XUV400 is a stretched version of the XUV300 and will be a 7-seat version for the same. Talking about the front profile of the rendered SUV, then it gets a larger mesh grille with thick chrome bars at the top and bottom of the grille.

The SUV will get LED headlamps cluster along with Daytime Running Lights on top of it. You can see horizontal foglights which are placed in the lower bumper with black plastic surrounding.

The sharp shoulder line and a new alloy wheel design can be visible too. Also, the added length which eventually will add 2 more seats at the last row thus making it a 7-seater SUV.

We expect that the Mahindra XUV400 will be equipped with features like a large touchscreen infotainment system with connectivity features like Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

A dual-zone climate control, electric sunroof, leather upholstery, all-wheel disc brakes, rear AC vents, height-adjustable driver’s seat and more comfort and convenience which the XUV300 gets.

Safety features such as front and rear parking sensors, Antilock Braking System, Electronic Brake Force Distribution, High speed alert system, Front Seat Belt Reminders and among others.

Mechanically, the XUV400 is expected to come with the same engines present in the XUV300. The 1.2-litre petrol engine which churns out 115 bhp with a peak torque of 200 Nm. Transmission option sticks to a 6-speed manual gearbox.

The 1.5-litre turbocharged diesel engine makes about 115 bhp and carries 300 Nm of torque. The engine gets mated to a 6-speed manual transmission and it also gets an AMT gearbox.

Once launched, the primary target of the Mahindra XUV300 7 seater will be Hyundai Creta 7 Seater. With its price range, it might also compete with the Kia Seltos and the MG Hector.
