Toyota Vellfire is a premium version of the Alphard and will come in petrol hybrid powertrain
Toyota Vellfire is the premium MPV which will compete with the likes of Mercedes Benz V Class. It will be brought as a CBU unit and till now only 2 units of the MPV has been dispatched.
Toyota Vellfire is expected to launch this month and the 6 seater premium MPV will come with the Government’s 2500 import rule. It is the more upmarket version of the Alphard.
The premium MPV is expected to get a 2.5-litre petrol hybrid engine which churns out 152 bhp and 206 Nm torque while the 2 FM electric motor makes 68 bhp and 138 Nm of peak torque. Transmission option onboard includes a CVT gearbox unit.

Dimension wise, the Toyota Velffire measures 4,935 mm in length, 1,850 mm in width and 1935/1,950 mm in height. The ground clearance measures in between 160 mm and 170 mm, depending on the variant you choose. In the international markets, the premium MPV comes in two body styles – Standard Body and Aero Body.
Now talking about the design of the MPV then it carries big and bulkier grille which has been restyled. Also, split LED Headlamp cluster with Daytime Running Lights will be offered. The foglights will be placed at the bottom of the bumper observing to the longer length of the same.
On the inside, the MPV gets Ottoman powered extendable full recline seats, twin moonroof, seat ventilation, heating and memory function, individual seat tables, Wireless charger, multi colour abient lighting and others.

The dashboard, gear lever, steering wheel and among other places in the Vellfire receives faux wood treatment. The premium MPV will also get Black or Flaxen based interiors.
Safety feature on the Vellfire includes multiple airbags, Antilock Braking System with Electronic Brake Force Distribution, blind spot detection system, rear cross traffic alert, brake hold, traction control and among others.
Talking about the pricing of the MPV then it is expected to be priced at Rs 72 lakh (ex-showroom). This will be the third premium product from Toyota after the Land Cruiser and Prado.
