Yamaha FZ Range Price Hiked Before Festive Season

All the bikes which include Yamaha FZ V3, FZS V3, FZ25 and Fazer 25 see an increase in prices before the new BS6 model rolls out.

Earlier we told you about the increase in prices of the Yamaha R15 V3. Now, fresh details have come up of the price hike of the Yamaha FZ range which includes V3, S V3, Fazer 25 and FZ 25.

The increase in price of the Yamaha FZ range Family comes ahead of the festive season and the BS6 emission launch. Most manufacturers include offers to boost sales in their entire portfolio but the Japanese bikemaker has other plans.

The increase in price is Rs 500 and the company claims it to be nominal for customers. While this may come true since Rs 500 doesn’t really matter when you are buying a two wheeler of this price segment, there is no official word as to why the company is hiking the prices.

Cosmetically, none of the bikes receives any changes and the only change all of these bikes will receive in future is the inclusion of BS6 petrol engines. The manufacturer plans to bring the updated engine by later this year or in early 2020.

Talking about the FZ V3 and FZ S V3, both the bikes receive a 149cc engine which produces 13 bhp at 8,000 rpm and 12.8 Nm at 6000 rpm. Transmission is handled by a 5-speed manual gearbox with transistor controlled ignition.

Features onboard include new LED headlamps, new fully digital instrument cluster, single channel ABS, single step up seat, LCD meter, one piece grab rail and fuel injection system.

The only difference between the two bikes is the presence of metal frame at the front and an engine cowl which gives an added protection to the Yamaha FZ S V3. The metal frame just gives a distinct look than the FZ V3.

Now the Fazer 25 and FZ25, both the bikes get a 249cc, single cylinder, air cooled engine which produces 20.3 bhp and a peak torque of 20 Nm. Both get a 5-speed manual transmission and a wet multi-disc clutch.

The bikes come with dual channel ABS and the braking is handled by 282mm disc at the front and 220 mm rear disc. Suspension wise, the front is handled by a telescopic fork while the rear gets a Swingarm.

The fresh prices of the Yamaha FZ V3 and FZS V3 now comes at Rs 96,680 and Rs 98,680 respectively. Similarly, the price for the Yamaha Fazer 25 and FZ25 stands at Rs 1,44,680 and Rs 1,34,680 respectively.
