KTM 390 Adventure Launch Scheduled To Happen In December

KTM has finally unveiled its much-awaited ADV, the 390 Adventure and we are going to see it at the India Bike Week In December 2019.

We finally have a date. The KTM 390 Adventure is all set to be launched in India this year. It will be introduced at the India Bike Week, scheduled to happen in December first week. Finally, the much-awaited ADV is going to make its arrival.

Reports further say that the KTM 390 Adventure might be launched in India first, as in the global debut in our country. It has been recently unveiled at the 2019 EICMA, with all the technical specifications revealed as well.

New KTM 390 Adventure

The 390 Adventure will be the first ADV from the Austrian-manufacturer for India. It will be produced at the Chakan (Pune) plant. It is likely to get its individual new assembly line, which will make bikes for Indian as well as export markets.

KTM 390 Adventure uses the same engine from the Duke 390 with the same tuning, that comes on Duke. The 373cc liquid-cooled single-cylinder mill produces 42 BHP and 37 Nm of torque, mated to a 6-speed gearbox. We expect the ADV to get a BS-6 compliant engine at the time of the launch.

For suspension, it comes with 43mm USD forks with damping at the front and pre-load adjustable monoshock at the back. It was spied unveiled with alloy wheels. In the foreign markets, it has been spied with spoke wheels, which are better for off-roading.

The spy shots also show it with luggage accessories, which will be offered as accessories from the showrooms. Chances are in India also we could get the alloy wheels along with the spoke wheels version, which will demand a certain premium.

Braking is handled by a 340mm disc brake at the front and a 240mm disc at the back with dual-channel ABS as standard. KTM also offers the Supermoto mode onboard, which allows the rider to disengage the ABS with a switch.

We expect the prices to stay around Rs 3-3.5 Lakhs (ex-showroom). In this price range, it would not be that much expensive from the Duke 390 and RC390.

It will go against the likes of BMW G 310 GS, Royal Enfield Himalayan and Kawasaki Versys X 300. We expect it to undercut BMW and Kawasaki, but definitely more expensive than Himalayan.
