Okinawa has launched a new electric scooter, Lite, which has a range of up to 60 kms. The new e-scooter is priced at Rs 59,990 (ex-showroom Delhi).
Okinawa Lite electric scooter has been launched in India by the Delhi-based electric scooter company. The Lite is a retro-styled electric scooter which is targeted towards a wide market of buyers.
Okinawa Lite gets a 1.25kWh lithium-ion battery and a 250W waterproof BLDC motor. The Li-ion battery is detachable and can be carried to your home/office for charging. The battery can be fully charged in four-five hours.
The top-speed achievable on this scooter is up to 25 km/hr. As we see, it is a mid-spec scooter from Okinawa, unlike the different versions of Praise e-scooter. The Lite comes in an urban run-around which a range between 50-60 kms.

Features onboard include LED headlamps, LED tail lamps, hazard lamp switch, a fully digital LED speedometer, riding range, battery percentage information, anti-theft battery lock mechanism, start-stop button and inbuilt pillion rider footrests.
The suspension is handled by telescopic forks at the front and a hydraulic shock absorber at the back. Braking is handled by a disc brake at the front and a drum brake at the back with Combi Braking System (CBS) as standard.
The Okinawa Lite offers a modern-retro appeal with some futuristic yet classy touches. There are no graphics or decals over the body and the scooter is offered only in two colours – Sparkle White and Sparkle Blue.

Along with all these features, Okinawa is offering a 3 years Motor and Battery warranty with the Lite scooter. With this, Okinawa now has a total of eight scooters in its lineup including Ridge, Ridge 30, Ridge+, Raise, i-Praise, Praise and Praise Pro. Meanwhile, Okinawa is also planning for a new electric motorcycle that might come by next year.
