Suzuki has unveiled the BS-6 Access 125, which is slated to be launched in January. It now gets LED headlamps and Fuel Injection as standard.
Suzuki has updated the Access 125 with a BS-6 compliant engine. The official launch is scheduled for January and that’s when the prices will be announced. With this, Suzuki Motorcycle India has commenced its BS-6 transition.
The updated scooter now gets fuel injection with its 124.6cc fan-cooled engine. The motor now produces 8.7 PS and 10 Nm of peak torque. The fuel injection will also increase the mileage of the scooter by a decent margin.
New features onboard include Eco-Assist Illumination, external fuel filler cap, LED headlamps, USB socket, Digital Instrument meter with a Voltage meter and CBS (Combined Braking System) as standard fitment.

Commenting on the upcoming product, Mr. Koichiro Hirao, Managing Director, Suzuki Motorcycle India, said, “We are thrilled to announce our first BS6 product way ahead of the regulation enforcement deadline of 1st April. We are confident that the All-New BS6 compliant Access 125 will be adored even more by Indian consumers.”
The Eco Assist Illumination helps the rider to get optimum throttle usage, by displaying a Green Light for low fuel consumption. With the inclusion of FI, Suzuki claims that the scooter can easily start-up in cold temperatures.
BS-6 Suzuki Access 125 continues with the same telescopic forks and swingarm suspension at the back. For braking, some variants come with drum brakes at both the ends with a disc brake as an option. The top-end variants get front disc brake as standard.

The Access 125 competes with the likes of TVS Ntorq 125, Honda Activa 125, Hero Destini 125 and Mahindra Gusto 125. In the same price range, you also get the regular Activa 110 and TVS Jupiter. The prices of BS-6 Access 125 will increase by around Rs 5,000.
