A couple of dealerships in Delhi have now started accepting unofficial bookings for Kia Carnival MPV. The premium MPV is all set to be launched in January.
Kia is set to launch the Carnival MPV in January 2020, before the Auto Expo 2020. It will be Kia’s second product in India which will be a premium model, priced around Rs 25 Lakhs and more. It will be positioned above the Toyota Innova.
Ahead of that, we have a scoop suggesting that the unofficial bookings for Kia Carnival MPV have commenced in some dealerships of Delhi NCR. For those who have already booked the Seltos and are awaiting deliveries, can switch to the bookings for Kia Carnival.
The dealerships are asking for Rs 20,000 more if you have already booked the Seltos. Since these are unofficial bookings, we expect Kia to commence the official bookings for Carnival by the end of this month or by the first week of January.

Kia Carnival is a premium MPV that will be positioned above the Toyota Innova Crysta in terms of pricing. We have spotted the Carnival in India a couple of times, but for sale, Kia will be offering the updated model.
Under the hood, Kia Carnival will get a 2.2 Litre turbocharged diesel engine that will be BS-6 compliant. The motor is tuned to produce 202 BHP and 440 Nm of peak torque. The global-spec comes mated to an 8-speed AT, but in India, it is likely to get a 6-speed AT.
The Carnival measures over 5 metres long, 1,985 mm in width, 1,755 mm in height and 3,060 mm in wheelbase. Since we will be getting the facelifted Carnival, expect some minor tweaks to the front and rear bumpers with a refreshed set of headlamps.

Features expected onboard include Dual-Front Airbags, Knee Airbags, Side and Curtain Airbags, Anti Lock Braking System, Electronic Brake Distribution, Blind Spot Detection System, 360-degree Parking Camera and Rear Parking Sensors for safety.
For comfort and convenience, it will get the UVO-connect touchscreen infotainment with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, Panoramic Sunroof, Three-Zone Climate Control, 60-degree camera, powered front seats with ventilated and heated function and much more.
