Husqvarna has revealed the Svartpilen 200, which is also scheduled to launch in India. It is based on the Duke 200, using the same engine and body panels.
Husqvarna recently unveiled the Svartpilen and Vitpilen 250 at the IBW 2019. The Sweden-based motorcycle brand is now owned by KTM, who in turn is controlled by Bajaj in India. So, the Huskies are actually based on KTM motorcycles.
Looks like Husqvarna is not stopping with the Svartpilen and Vitpilen 250. The updated website now shows the Husqvarna Svartpilen 200 as well, which is based on the Duke 200. The launch date is unknown but we can surely see them by mid-2020.
Husqvarna Svartpilen 200 gets the same 200cc engine from the Duke. The 199.5cc liquid-cooled DOHC motor is capable of producing 26 BHP and 19 Nm of peak torque, mated to a 6-speed slick gearbox. The engine is still BS-4 compliant and will get the update very soon.

The Svartpilen is a neo-scrambler type motorcycle with dual-purpose tyres and an upright stance. The styling of the 200 is identical to the Svartpilen 250, with minor cosmetic changes. Just like the Duke 200, Svartpilen 200 also gets an underbelly exhaust.
For suspension, it uses inverted telescopic forks at the front and an adjustable monoshock at the back, both sourced from WP. Braking is handled by disc brakes at both the ends with a dual-channel ABS as standard.
Talking about the Svartpilen and Vitpilen 250, both are set to be launched by the first week of February 2020. The bookings for both of them have already commenced unofficially. They will be sold through Bajaj ProBiking dealerships.
