Husqvarna is going to launch the Svartpilen 250 and Vitpilen 250, following which, it will also launch the Svartpilen 200. It will be based on the Duke 200.
KTM and Bajaj have bough the Swedish two-wheeler company, Husqvarna to India. Specialized in retro and dirt motorcycles, Husqvarna is launching the Svartpilen 250 and Vitpilen 250 in India next year.
Both the motorcycles were recently unveiled at the IBW 2019. While the Svartpilen is a neo-scrambler-type roadster, the Vitpilen is a neo-cafe racer. Both of them are based on Duke 250, using the same engine and components.
Now, reports suggest that Husqvarna is also bringing the Svartpilen 200 to India. It has been recently unveiled and does not look that different from the Svartpilen 250. It will be based on the Duke 200, using the same engine and its same Steel Trellis frame.

Husqvarna Svartpilen 200 will use a 199.5cc liquid-cooled single-cylinder DOHC engine, that produces 26 BHP and 19 Nm of torque, with a 6-speed gearbox. The engine tuning is expected to undergo some revision in comparison to the Duke 200.
For suspension, it will use 43mm upside-down telescopic forks at the front and a monoshock at the back, both from WP. The braking will be handled by disc brakes at both the ends with dual-channel ABS as standard.
Differences between the Husqvarna Svartpilen 200 and 250 will be minor, including an underbelly exhaust like the Duke 200. Features onboard will include a TFT colour instrument console, Bluetooth connection, split LED headlamps, dual-purpose tyres and much more.

The Huskies are expected to be launched in January 2020. Both of them are expected to be priced between Rs 2-2.4 Lakhs (ex-showroom). Similarly, the Svartpilen 200 might also demand around Rs 1.8 Lakhs. It will find competition from the Bajaj Dominar 400, Jawa Motorcycles, Mahindra Mojo and the Royal Enfield motorcycles.
