This is the Range Rover Velar R-Dynamic Black. A limited run model that adds a range of black styling features and a host of additional standard equipment. Production will be limited to just 500 examples, with each carrying a price-tag pf £56,995.
It’s based on the best-selling Range Rover Velar R-Dynamic SE. Upgrades over the standard model include 21-inch gloss black alloy wheels, privacy glass, a fixed panoramic glass roof, brown leather upholstery, a brown headlining and a choice of two metallic paint colours – Santorini Black or Elger Grey.

Buyers also get a heated leather steering wheel and Land Rover’s adaptive dynamics system as standard. The latter upgrade adds adjustable dampers and software which continuously monitors the road surface and driving style (both on- and off-road) and automatically adjusts the vehicle’s suspension chassis accordingly.

It’s powered by a turbocharged 2.0-litre four-cylinder diesel engine, which develops 178bhp and 430Nm of torque, and power is fed to all four wheels via an eight-speed automatic transmission.
Like the standard Velar, 0–62mph takes 8.9 seconds, top speed stands at 120mph and, if driven carefully, the R-Dynamic Black should return 42mpg.
