The all-new Ford EcoSport for Brazil has been leaked ahead of its unveiling. The new model looks completely different from what we have in India.
Ford EcoSport is the oldest sub-compact SUV in India and is the one which started this segment. After eight years, it is still running strong with facelifts and no new generation upgrades received till now. It has grown old now.
Ford is going to launch the all-new generation of EcoSport next year in Brazil. Ahead of that, the photo of the new SUV has been leaked. From that, you can tell that it is not an EcoSport but something totally different. First thing, it looks larger than the outgoing one.
The new Ford EcoSport misses out on the tall-boy SUV look and now looks something evolved. It gets a huge honeycomb mesh grille and sleek headlamps. The whole front setup now makes the EcoSport similar to other Ford SUVs.

Even at the back, there is everything new from bumpers to headlamps to the EcoSport insignia. While the outgoing EcoSport tries to look like a slim and swift SUV, the new version looks beefed up and luxurious. Doesn’t it resemble the Ford Kuga?
The cabin spy shots are not available but there will be drastic changes there as well. From an all-new dashboard design to new features, the new EcoSport will get it all. Many reports suggest that this new generation EcoSport would not be a sub-4-metre SUV but a direct rival for Hyundai Creta and Kia Seltos.
Most likely, the new generation will come to India but the time period is unknown. After its recent tie-up with Mahindra, the American giant has plans to improve its dying sales. From its current lineup, EcoSport is the best selling car followed by Figo and Aspire.

The current EcoSport is available with three engine options – a 1.0 Litre turbo-petrol, a 1.5 Litre petrol and 1.5 litre diesel engine. The lovable EcoBoost engine (1.0 Litre) will be discontinued post-April 2020, owing to BS-6 norms. Ford is expected to commence its BS-6 launches soon.
