Hyundai is also bringing the new Tucson facelift at the 2020 Auto Expo. It will get new features, refreshed styling and BS-6 engines.
For the 2020 Auto Expo, Hyundai is unveiling the new Tucson, Creta and Verna. Ahead of that, the new 2020 Hyundai Tucson has been spied testing in India for the first time. The SUV will get a much-needed facelift and not a generation update.
Styling changes will include revised bumpers, a skid plate, new and sleeker headlamp design and Hyundai’s Cascading Grille. At the back, you have new LED tail lamps and a sportier-looking exhaust tip. The design of the alloy wheels remains the same.
Mechanical upgrades will include the addition of BS-6 compliant engines. Currently, it uses a 2.0 Litre petrol and a 2.0 Litre diesel engine. The petrol motor produces 155 PS and 196 Nm of peak torque. The diesel engine produces 183 BHP and 400 Nm of peak torque. Both the engines get a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed AT as an option.

The existing 6-speed AT might be replaced with a more advanced 8-speed AT torque-converter. Further, the All-Wheel-Drive (AWD) configuration will come on the top-end diesel automatic variant only.
Inside the cabin, there will be some minor tweaks to the dashboard and upholstery. New features onboard will include a new 8-inch floating touchscreen infotainment system, an advanced version of Blue Link connectivity, 360-degree camera and adaptive cruise control on the top-end variants.
Features on the existing Tucson include dual-barrel LED headlamps, LED bending lamps, panoramic sunroof, hands-free power tailgate, power-adjustable seats, heated ORVMs, Auto Headlamps, Wireless Charger and more. Safety features include 6 airbags, ABS with EBD, traction control, Hill Assist Control, Vehicle Stability and Front and Rear Parking sensors with a rear-view camera.

The prices of the new 2020 Hyundai Tucson will increase by a significant margin. Currently, it starts from Rs 18.76 Lakhs up to Rs 26.97 Lakhs (ex-showroom Delhi). It competes against the Jeep Compass, MG Hector, Honda CR-V, Isuzu MU-X and Mahindra Alturas G4.
