Reports reveal that Hyundai will unveil the new Creta at the 2020 Auto Expo and will later launch it by the second week of March.
Hyundai is gearing up for the 2020 Auto Expo which the new Hyundai Creta. The new generation has already reached the Chinese market and will make its way to India by March 2020. It will get a complete makeover in terms of styling, features and engines.
Hyundai has now confirmed that the new Hyundai Creta for India, will be seen at the 2020 Auto Expo. Following the debut, it will be launched in March 2020. But, it would be slightly different from the Chinese-spec and basically, India will have its own version.
Interestingly, the new Hyundai Creta for India might also be the same for the rest of the world. So at the Auto Expo, the new generation will be revealed in India first, following the global debut later this year.

One of the major changes will be seen under the hood, as Creta will get three new engines. Right now, it uses the 1.6 Litre petrol and diesel units, and the smaller 1.4 Litre diesel unit for base variants. The new version will borrow the engines from the Kia Seltos, including the 1.5 Litre petrol, 1.5 Litre diesel and a 1.4 Litre turbo-petrol.
The new engines are already BS-6 compliant in the Seltos. Additionally, new Creta will also borrow the transmission options from the Seltos. So, it will come with a 6-speed manual as standard, along with a 6-speed torque converter. The 7-speed DCT is also likely to come onboard.
On the outside, the new Creta will get heavily revised bumper set, newly designed front grille and the alloy wheels from Venue. Inside the cabin, there will be a new 10.4-inch touchscreen infotainment system, with Blue Link technology, a fully digital speedometer and many more features.

Meanwhile, Hyundai is also planning to launch the 3-row Creta in the coming years as well. It will go against the likes of Tata Buzzard (Harrier 7-seater) and the MG Hector 7-seater. Both of them are also likely to debut at the 2020 Auto Expo.
