Suzuki Burgman Street 150 Could Be Seen At The 2020 Auto Expo!

Suzuki earlier discussed its plans for 150cc scooters in India and we think, the Burgman Street 150 would be the one to debut.

Suzuki just like some other two-wheeler companies has decided to stay out of the crowded 110cc commuter space. It discontinued the Swish long back and will also discontinue the Let’s 110cc scooter by next month. Other two include the Access 125 and Burgman Street.

A couple of months back, Suzuki made it clear that it wants to try the 150cc segment. Coming Auto Expo 2020, we think Suzuki might showcase the Burgman Street 150 for the Indian market, its first step in the bigger capacity scooters.

Suzuki Burgman Street Review

Suzuki has a good market in the 125cc scooter space, with Access being one of the best selling scooters and Burgman also generating good numbers every month. The latter being a semi-maxi scooter and an excellent touring scooter, it is one of its kind in the market.

Suzuki Burgman Street 150 would also make a good product in the space which is now dominated by Aprilia and Vespa scooters. Even Yamaha and Honda has plans for that, with the former also planning to make a move this year itself.

The power figures of that will be around 10 BHP and 11-12 Nm of torque. Burgman Street 125 manages to produce 8.7 PS and 10 Nm of peak torque in its BS-4 avatar. This month, Suzuki is going to launch the BS-6 Burgman after the BS-6 Access.

The styling of the Burgman Street 150 would be identical to its 125cc version, with the same features as well. Although, the BS-6 Burgman 125 might get minor revisions to its instrument console, with readings for ECO mileage, riding range and average fuel economy.

Expect the Burgman Street 150 to demand a price of Rs 80,000 plus. Easily, its on-road prices will go above 1-1.10 Lakhs. The Burgman Street itself costs Rs 67,000 and with BS-6 incoming, the prices will increase by atleast Rs 5,000.
