Mahindra has silently launched the BS6 compliant 2020 Bolero which gets a major facelift as well. It is priced from Rs 7.98 Lakhs.
Amidst the lockdown, Mahindra has silently launched the BS6 compliant Bolero Power+. Other than a BS6 engine, the SUV gets styling tweaks and new features too. Once the lockdown is over and the dealerships are open, the bookings for new Bolero will commence.
With the BS6 upgrade, Mahindra Bolero is only available in the Power+ trim. The existing engine has been discontinued. Further, it comes in three variants – B4, B6 and B6 (O). Here are all the five changes that now come on Bolero.

1. New And More Powerful Engine
Bolero gets a new BS6 compliant 1.5 Litre m75 three-cylinder turbo-diesel engine. Instead of 71 PS and 195 Nm of torque, the new engine produces 76 PS and 210 Nm of peak torque. The engine comes mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox as standard.
2. New Features
Bolero now gets a couple of new features to pose off as a more attractive buy. It gets static bending headlamps, digital MID, Fog Lamps, Rear Washer And Wiper And a Four-Spoke Steering Wheel. Other features include Bluetooth and USB connectivity for music system, central locking, Power steering and a digital instrument cluster. Safety features include driver seat airbag, rear parking sensors, front SBR and ABS as standard.
3. More Stylish Looking
The facelift has now given a couple of styling upgrades to the workhorse. It gets refreshed front and rear bumpers which make it look sharper. The front grille has been revised for a fresh look. You also get a new design for the headlamp and tail lamp. Rest of the bits remain the same as seen on the BS4 version.

4. Micro-Hybrid Technology As Standard
All the variants of Bolero now get the micro-hybrid technology as standard fitment. As a result, the variants have gained the automatic start-stop system as standard as well. This feature aids in saving up the mileage by 15-20% atleast.
5. Prices
As told earlier, the BS6 Bolero is now available in three variants. There are reports that in the coming months, Bolero will get costlier and these are just the introductory prices. Here are the variant wise prices:
- B4 – Rs 7.98 Lakhs
- B6 – Rs 8.64 Lakhs
- B6 (O) – Rs 8.99 Lakhs
