KTM has launched the 390 Adventure for Rs 2.99 Lakhs. It is among the most affordable dual-purpose motorcycles that you can buy right now.
KTM 390 Adventure is the latest adventure motorcycle to be launched in India. KTM bought it in India back in January this year and its deliveries also commenced in the same month. It comes in a single variant priced at Rs 2.99 Lakhs (ex-showroom).
KTM has now released the official TVC of 390 Adventure where it explains the nature of the motorcycle. The manufacturer has put it in as an ultra-versatile motorcycle which can go for some serious off-roading and long distance touring as well.
In the video, KTM explains how the 390 Adventure fits in both the riding conditions. Also, you get to see how the two colour options of the bike look. It is available in two dual-tone options – Orange/Black and White/Black – the latter being the base colour.

390 Adventure is based on the Duke 390, using the same chassis, engine, suspension and braking. While the international unit gets away with Continental dual-purpose tires and fully adjustable front forks, the India-spec version gets Metzeler Tourance tires and fixed 43mm WP-sourced USD forks. At the back, both the versions get pre-load adjustable monoshock.
The off-roader uses the same 373cc liquid-cooled single-cylinder engine, with slightly revised tuning. The motor produces 43bhp @ 9,000rpm and 37Nm @ 7,000rpm mated to a 6-speed gearbox. It also gets a bi-directional quick-shifter or known as a semi-automatic gearbox.
For braking, you get disc brakes at both the end with dual-channel ABS as standard. For a more thrilling experience, it gets the Supermoto Mode which disengages traction control and ABS. Otherwise, you have traction control and ABS switched on as standard.
Features onboard include LED headlamps, colour TFT instrument cluster with Bluetooth connection, split seats, alloy wheels and Supermoto mode. The international-spec version goes with spoke wire wheels which is better for off-roading. However, it is costlier to maintain which is the reason for us to get alloy wheels.
