Kia Seltos HTK+ Variant To Get New Features From GT Line Trims

New report suggests that Kia will upgrade the mid-spec Seltos HTK+ variant with two new features that are standard on GT Line Trims.

Kia Seltos is currently, one of the most popular SUVs in India. With a vast price range, it caters to a lot of buyers with different budgets. Seltos comes in two trims – Tech Line and GT Line – the latter being the sportier and more premium one.

A new report indicates that Kia will soon offer the Seltos HTK+ variant with dual-tip exhaust mufflers, emergency brake signal and rear USB charging port as standard. As of now, these features come as standard on GT line, HTX and HTX Plus variants.

With this minor upgrade, the prices of the HTK+ variant will increase soon. The variant is available in petrol-manual, diesel-manual and diesel-automatic combinations. Here is the variant wise price list of the same:

The HTK+ variant is priced from 11.49 Lakhs up to Rs 13.48 Lakhs (Ex-showroom). Seltos comes in a total of 20 variants, 14 of them from Tech Line Trims and six from the GT Line trims. As per our dealership sources, HTK, HTK+, HTX+ and GTX are the best selling variants.

Seltos comes with three engines and four transmission options. First one is the 1.5 Litre petrol engine, that produces 115 PS and 144 Nm of peak torque. Then it gets a 1.5 Litre four-cylinder diesel engine that produces 115 PS and 250 Nm of peak torque. The third engine is a 1.4 Litre turbo-petrol engine, that produces 143 PS and 247 Nm.

A 6-speed MT comes as standard on all the three engines. The petrol variants get a CVT gearbox as an option, while the diesel and turbo petrol engines go with a 6-speed AT and a 7-speed DCT. It was the first car in India to offer four different types of transmission.

Seltos comes with features such as LED headlamps, Heads Up Display, Air Purifier, D-Cut Flat Bottom Steering Wheel, Blind Spot Monitor, Cruise Control, Electric Sunroof, a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, Wireless Charger, Ventilated Seats and Driver View Monitor.

Now, Hyundai has launched the 2020 Creta which is priced very near to the Seltos. Both of them compete in the features department as one offers a couple more but misses out on some features which come in the other one.
