To keep up with the competition, Tata Motors will be launching refreshed cars every two months with new features or colours or Special Editions.
In an interview with Autocar India, Tata Motors has confirmed that they will be refreshing their cars every two months. Under their Forever New philosophy, the manufacturer will keep up with the competition by providing regular updates to all their cars.
These new updates will include the launch of special editions, new features, cosmetic upgrades, new colour options and probably new variants as well. This will attract more buyers and will also help in keeping their cars up-to-date.
If seen, Tata had a lot of special editions launched in the past few years. Starting with Tiago, it got the NRG edition, then the Tiago JTP and then two facelifts. Harrier also got a dark edition first, followed by dual-tone options and now an automatic gearbox.

We might see similar updates happening to Nexon or Altroz in the near future. Nexon recently got a power bump making it one of the most powerful SUVs in its class. Altroz will soon get an automatic gearbox followed by a turbo-petrol engine as well.
This process will go on as planned and will actually help the case of Tata Motors. During this coronavirus outbreak, the auto sector will take a major hit in sales. Once we are past this pandemic, the sales will slowly rise up but will take some time.
In the case of Harrier, it recently got a BS6 engine and an automatic gearbox. BS6 Harrier continues with the same 2.0 Litre turbo-diesel engine but now produces 170 PS instead of 140 PS. The motor is tuned to a 6-speed MT and a 6-speed torque converter AT.
This year, Tata has two launches planned for our market. The first one might be the Tata H2X or HBX, the upcoming micro-SUV. It will be priced in between Tiago and Altroz, going against Mahindra KUV 100. Followed by that, we will have the flagship Tata Gravitas. It will be a 7-seater SUV based on the Harrier itself.

Tata is also working on an executive compact sedan, Peregrin. It will come as a rival to Hyundai Verna, Honda City and Maruti Suzuki Ciaz. Also, we will see the Tata Hexa Safari Edition with a BS6 compliant diesel engine, by the end of this year.
