10 Scooters That Have Been Discontinued Due To BS6 Norms

Now that the BS6 norms are in place, here are the 10 scooters that have been completely discontinued and would not be launched again.

BS6 emission norms have commenced in India from April 1. After 25th April, no BS4 vehicle can be registered over the country. Only BS6 cars, scooters and bikes will be sold. If you want to buy a BS4 car, you can get it as a second-hand model.

During the transition from BS4 to BS6, many automakers have decided to discontinue their low performing models. In the case of two-wheelers, a lot of them have been completely discontinued. These BS6 norms have led manufacturers to discontinue a total of 10 scooters.

Most of these scooters have been discontinued due to poor sales over the year. The primary reason why manufacturers are not updating all of their models with BS6 engines is because the transition is costly and it makes no point to spend all that money on a low selling product. In such a case, Suzuki has not discontinued a single motorcycle or scooter. Its entire lineup is BS6 compliant now.

Here is the entire list of 10 BS4 scooters that won’t be receiving a BS6 engine.

It was also, comparatively cheaper than the regular one. Navi and Cliq were launched to appeal to the younger generation at very affordable prices. However, even after that, both of them failed to make a space in the market.

In the 125cc department, it has Destini 125 and Maestro Edge 125.
