Finally, BS6 Honda Jazz Listed On Website; Launching This Month

The nation wanted to know about the BS6 Honda Jazz and if and when will it be launched. Finally, Honda has given us confirmation that it will come soon.

Honda has updated most of its lineup with BS6 compliant engines, except WRV and Jazz. While the manufacturer updated the website with the facelifted BS6 WRV earlier this month, there was still no clue if BS6 Jazz is coming or not.

Now, Honda has finally updated its website with the BS6 Jazz. There’s no photo put of it which probably says that there is a facelift coming. Probably, the BS6 version could get some styling tweaks like reshaped bumpers, new alloy wheels, a new front grille and revamped interiors.

We are expecting Honda to launch the BS6 Jazz this month itself, once the lockdown is over. Honda has three cars upcoming now, including the BS6 WRV and new generation City. The updated sedan was supposed to be launched by now but got delayed.

Under the hood, the BS6 Honda Jazz will continue with its same engines. The 1.2 Litre i-VTEC petrol and the 1.5 Litre i-DTEC diesel engine currently produce 90 BHP/110 Nm and 99 BHP/200 Nm of peak torque. The BS6 upgrade is expected to increase the power figures by a minor figure.

The petrol engine will come mated to a 5-speed MT and a CVT gearbox as earlier. There are chances that along with a 6-speed manual, the Jazz Diesel could also get a CVT gearbox. The availability of a diesel-automatic combination is sure to attract buyers because none of the segment rivals offers it.

New features onboard could include LED projector headlamps, rear AC vents, a refreshed touchscreen infotainment system and restyled alloy wheels. Jazz comes with most of the features that are offered in other hatchbacks in its segment. Cruise control, automatic AC, electric folding ORVMs, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay and steering mounted audio controls are already available with it.
