Here’s a crazy drag race between a Kawasaki Ninja 300, KTM Duke 390, Bajaj Dominar 400 and TVS Apache RR 310. Find out who records the highest speed and wins the race.
You will find numerous drag races and top-speed runs on the internet but the one we have here is quite unique. While most drag races feature either two cars or two motorcycles, this one features as many as four motorcycles. The motorcycles drag racing here in this video include the Kawasaki Ninja 300, the KTM Duke 390, the Bajaj Dominar 400 and the TVS Apache RR 310.
The Kawasaki Ninja 300 and the TVS Apache RR 310 are fully-faired motorcycles while the Duke 390 and the Dominar 400 are naked motorcycles. All the motorcycles have around 40bhp of power and are within the 300-400cc range. Very much a fair and ideal competition. However, a word of caution first. The drag race featured here was carried out on public roads and we would strictly recommend against that. Use only closed roads or a race track for such adventures. The public road is not a place for such things, both for the riders and other road users.
As you can see in the video, the Kawasaki Ninja 300 and the KTM Duke 390 take off fairly well off the starting line. But the Duke 390 just does it slightly better and being a KTM, just shoots ahead in the distance. It is the most powerful motorcycle here with 43bhp. The Ninja 300 produces 40bhp and closely follows the Duke on its tail. Next to come are the Dominar 400 which also has around 40bhp of power but is not able to keep up with the other two, owing to more weight and naked body style.
The TVS Apache RR 310 was right at the last right from the word go. The race was honestly never in favor of the Apache RR 310 as its the least powerful motorcycle here with 34bhp but it did a fairly well job of sticking close to the Dominar 400. As the race progresses, we can see that the Ninja 300 is gradually closing up on the Duke 390 and eventually even over the Duke. How does that happen inspite of being less powerful than the Duke?

Well, at speeds of 170kph, which is when the Ninja 300 overtakes the Duke 390, the former has the advantage of aerodynamics. At such high speeds, there’s considerable wind blast and the naked body style of the Duke 390 does not help the rider much with that. Meanwhile, the Ninja 300 being a fully-faired motorcycle has better aerodynamic efficiency and the rider can tug behind the windscreen for even lesser drag, thus allowing it to achieve a higher tops-speed. You can also see that the Duke 390’s speedometer does not register the speed after a certain point but the Ninja 300 continues to pull cleanly.

So as it stands, the Kawasaki Ninja 300 was the fastest and also had the highest top-speed, followed by the KTM Duke 390 in second place, the Bajaj Dominar 400 in second place and the TVS Apache RR 310 in the last spot. The video was uploaded by Bikes Carnival Youtube Channel and the vlogger according to the video was riding the Ninja 300.
