This Modified Suzuki Jimny Is Ready For Some Serious Off-Roading

Check out this modified Suzuki Jimny with heavy off-roading equipment. The compact off-roader is scheduled to enter the Indian market next year.

Maruti Suzuki has confirmed that it will launch the Jimny in India. The compact off-roader is sold in the global markets in a three-door version but we will be getting the 5-door version. The styling would be identical to the global outgoing model.

Jimny comes in as a replacement for the Gypsy, which was discontinued due to the safety and emission norms. Maruti will put the Jimny in a similar price range of the Gypsy, that is just below or at par with the Vitara Brezza. It will be positioned as a lifestyle SUV that will come with minimal off-roading tech like Gypsy.

Now, here we have a hardcore off-roading modified Suzuki Jimny. This mod is done by Walk International and is known as the Black Bison. Actually, we think when Jimny comes to India, it will be offered with different accessory packs.

First thing that we notice is those gigantic off-road spec tyres. It gets revised and bolder front and rear bumpers, beefier body cladding to fit those tyres, projector headlamps and a different front grille. Not to miss out the bonnet scoop and the roof-mounted LED lights.

At the back, you get a spare wheel tyre mount, new tail lights and roof spoiler. This modified Suzuki Jimny comes in dual-tone Black and Grey colour option with red accents on some body parts. Doesn’t it look ravishing and ready to take upon anything?

Moving on the India-spec Jimny, it will get Maruti’s latest 1.5 Litre K1B petrol engine. The unit produces 104 BHP and 138 Nm of peak torque. Jimny will also get the 5-speed MT and 4-speed torque converter AT options.

The global-spec Jimny gets 4WD, low range transfer case gearbox, hill hold and hill descent control. The India-spec model would not get these features, because of its competitive pricing. It is likely to come in the price range of Rs 7 Lakhs to Rs 10 Lakhs (ex-showroom).
