Here’s a video where you can see the humble Suzuki Jimny going off-roading against the mighty Ford Ranger Raptor and the Jeep Wrangler Rubicon.

The launch of Maruti Suzuki Jimny is still far away. Due to the economic conditions prevailing in our country right now, Maruti is still evaluating the launch of the compact off-roader for India. It was showcased at the Auto Expo 2020, where the officials hinted that they were planning to bring it by the end of this year or early 2021.

In the global markets, Jimny is already sold widely and very popular. In some European countries, the waiting period has literally gone up to a year. It is known for its compact dimensions, great off-roading capability and affordable for the pocket. Here is a video where you can see Jimny proving its off roading skills against Ford Raptor and Jeep Wrangler Rubicon.

As we all know, how capable are the Ford Raptor and Jeep Wrangler Rubicon in off-roading. They are literally at the forefront of off-roading and are popular around the world for that. So, for a humble car like Jimny, going on the same roads as these biggies, might be difficult. Going through the video, we find out it’s not that difficult.

The first test involves high speed driving on sand. You can see all of them managing that easily, as everyone has electronics helping maintain the traction and stability. Jimny seems to be fun to drive, but among the three, the reviewer finds Raptor to be the most suitable for this terrain.

Second is the water wading test. Jimny gets the lowest water wading depth of 300 mm, followed by Wrangler with 762mm and finally the Raptor with 800mm of water wading capacity. The rock-crawling mode of the Jeep Wrangler helps it effectively as it maintains the traction while offering generous low amounts of torque.

At last, there is the hill test where you can see the cars going through difficult terrain. Suzuki Jimny works really hard and gets all things right. You can see how high its rear wheel is in the air. As for the Raptor and the Wrangler, both manage this easily without any high lifting of the wheels. In the end, the ultimate winner comes off as Jeep Wrangler Rubicon.
