Top 5 Biggest Flop Cars From Mahindra Till Now!

Here is the list of the top 5 biggest flop cars that we have seen from Mahindra till date. Some of them are really good cars but could not make enough sales figures.

Car manufacturers have had their ups and downs in the industry. Many of them have had their best selling cars running for over 10-15 years while some of their cars could not even survive for half a decade. In the case of Mahindra, we have many of their cars like Scorpio, Bolero, XUV500 and such which are one of the most popular models since the last decade. However, even they have their share of flop cars till now.

Mahindra Verito

Verito was the brand’s earliest sedan in India and was based on the Renault Logan. Both of them tanked badly in the market because of high reliability issues. Verito came with three engine options including 2 petrol and 1 diesel engine. It was priced very affordably from Rs 5.5 Lakhs and was even bigger than 4 metre but did not seem to interest the buyers.

Mahindra E-Verito

The second shot at the Verito brand name was bringing out its electric version. No doubt that the E-Verito was a revolution and one of the first EVs from an Indian mass manufacturer. However, it was too early for its time and is still finding very few buyers in India. In turn, we are expecting more buyers to flock towards the much cheaper E-KUV100.

Mahindra Nuvosport

Nuvosport looked like something evolved from Xylo especially taking in the front design in consideration. It was one of the earliest sub-4-metre compact SUVs but due to a rather unpleasant design, it found very few buyers. Also, at that time, Ford Ecosport was already present which was anyday 10-times more selling.

Mahindra Alturas

Since the launch of Alturas, the sales of it have not picked up much. Many other SUVs in this segment are also experiencing the same because the real players are Toyota Fortuner and Ford Endeavour. Many of you might not consider Alturas as a flop car but the sales say so. Besides that, it is one of the best feature rich car in the segment and going by the media reviews, is indeed a good and capable SUV.

Mahindra TUV300 Plus

The last one in the list is the recently launched TUV300 Plus. Mahindra received an alright response for the TUV300 but not for the Plus. The bigger and more practical version has seen very poor sales and is not appealing. Despite being highly affordable, reviews suggest that it is a bit underpowered and does not have many premium features.
