Jeep is working on a mid-life facelift for the Compass in India which will come with completely redone interiors and here’s your first look at that. It will also get significant exterior changes and is slated for a debut in India in early 2021.
We have already reported to you that Jeep is working on a mid-life facelift for the Compass in India and test mules of the same have been spotted testing in India and the world over as well. This facelift will be quite comprehensive and will feature distinct design changes on the outside along with a completely redone interiors. And now, the very first spy pictures of the interiors of the Jeep Compass facelift have surfaced on the internet and here’s your look at it.
The changes on the interiors are comprehensive enough that even an untrained eye will be able to tell the differences. Although the interiors of this test mule comes wrapped with heavy camouflage, you can still make out that it’s a completely new design. The touchscreen infotainment system is much larger and sits higher on the dashboard than the pre-facelift car. The new infotainment screen will also feature FCA’s latest UConnect5 system and the screen size could be as large as 10.1 inches – up from 8.4 inches on the current car.
There’s a new stack of buttons below the infotainment screen for its controls that’s finished in gloss black and the dashboard will also feature redesigned climate control buttons. The Compass facelift will also feature an all-new steering wheel that will even make it to more future Jeep models, like the upcoming seven-seater version of the Compass. Higher variants of the Compass facelift will even feature a fully-digital instrument cluster (not seen on this prototype) and other new features such as 360-degree camera and wireless charging and full LED lighting as well.

FCA’s latest UConnect5 system will be a huge talking point of the Compass facelift and it will come with integrated Amazon Alexa support, wireless AppleCarPlay and Android Auto support, and can also receive over-the-air updates. Touchscreen infotainment system have become a huge factor guiding the buying decision of the customers these days and all competitors of the Compass – Creta, Seltos and Hector – have screen sizes bigger than 10 inches. The new larger 10.1 inch screen on the Compass facelift will surely increase its appeal.

Apart from a completely revamped interiors, the Compass facelift will see some significant styling changes on the outside as well. That includes newly designed bumpers for both the front and rear end, a new reprofiled grille and new headlamps that could even be full LED units. The rear end will see a new tail lamp design and new alloy wheels could also be part of the mix. The Compass facelift will however remain unchanged under the hood. It will continue with its recently updated BS6-engine lineup that includes a 1.4-litre turbo petrol and a 2.0-litre diesel engine, both available with the option of manual or automatic gearboxes. The Jeep Compass Facelift is expected to debut in India by early 2021.
