Honda has finally announced the commencement of bookings of BS6 Jazz. The hatchback gets many new highlights now.
After being discontinued for more than 2 months, Honda has announced the comeback of BS6 compliant Jazz. The bookings are now open at dealerships for Rs 21,000 and if you are doing online booking, you will have to pay Rs 5,000. The launch is scheduled to happen towards the end of this month, probably by the last two weeks.
Unfortunately, Honda Jazz, in the BS6 era will be a petrol-only hatchback. The 1.2 Litre i-VTEC engine will continue to produce 90 PS and 110 Nm of peak torque, paired with a 5-speed MT and a CVT. The 1.5 Litre diesel will not be updated. Also, Jazz will continue to be the only hatch in the segment paired with paddle shifters on the CVT variants.

Further, it gets new front and rear bumpers, full LED lighting and one touch electric sunroof. Besides this, cruise control, smart entry key and engine start stop button will come on manual as well as CVT variants. With minor cosmetic upgrades and a couple of competitive features, Honda attempts to bring back the Jazz at its original popularity.
Other existing features will include a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, steering mounted audio controls, twin pod analogue console, fully reclining front passenger seat, electrically operated ORVMs and its exclusive touchscreen AC controls. Safety features will include dual airbags, rear parking sensors and a rear parking camera.
Before it was discontinued, Honda sold the Jazz with prices starting at Rs 7.45 Lakhs up to Rs 9.28 Lakhs (ex-showroom) for the petrol variants. With all these upgrades, we are expecting the prices to hike by at least Rs 15,000 to Rs 20,000. Like earlier, the Jazz will continue to be one of the most reliable and costliest models in the segment.
