Honda CB Hornet 2.0 Priced At Rs 1.26 Lakhs – Check Out What’s New?

Honda has revealed the new CB Hornet 2.0 for India. It is priced at Rs 1.26 Lakhs (ex-showroom), powered by a 184cc fuel-injected engine.

Honda has kickstarted its launches with the latest CB Hornet 2.0. The naked streetfighter takes inspiration from the global Honda models that offer the naked styling with an aggressive riding posture. The earlier CB Hornet 160R has been discontinued due to the BS6 norms and now, the Hornet 2.0 will take the lead for the manufacturer in the 180-200cc motorcycle segment.

The Hornet 2.0 gets a new 184cc engine that replaces the ageing 160cc motor. The fuel-injected engine will be able to produce 17 BHP and 16.1 Nm of peak torque. Going by the figures, it offers best in class torque. The gearbox will sadly come paired with a 5-speed transmission as earlier. More details about the bike will be revealed around its launch in September.

The bookings for Honda CB Hornet 2.0 have commenced across dealerships as well as on their official website. Features onboard the streetfighter will include LED headlamps, LED tail lamps, a fully digital TFT instrument cluster, split seat styling, petal disc brakes, golden upside-down telescopic forks and single-channel ABS setup. Braking will be taken care of disc brakes at both the ends. For rear suspension, you will get a monoshock unit.

CB Hornet 2.0 will come in colour options including Matte Grey, Marvel Blue and Sangria Red. The bike is based on a completely new platform which makes it agile and better in handling. It can sprint from 0-200 meters in 11.25 seconds. Other highlights of the Hornet include wider 140mm tires, engine stop switch, hazard switch, alloy pedals and a short-sporty exhaust muffler.

Honda CB Hornet 2.0 will mostly find competition against the likes of TVS Apache RTR 200 4V, Bajaj Pulsar NS200 and Hero Xtreme 200R. While earlier Honda had 2 motorcycles for the 160cc segment, it will now continue with X-Blade as a premium offering and the new CB Unicorn 160 as a basic offering or for people who do not prefer looks.
