Here is one tough Mahindra Bolero which gets toughened glass, huge fenders and is a Discovery Channel Special Edition vehicle!
Here is one toughie again from the stable of Mahindra. Definitely, it is an aftermarket modified car but beneath is the toughie Mahindra Bolero. Known as the Terminator, this Bolero is specially made for the Discovery Channel. Although, it gets the Jeep badging at the front to make it look identical to the Jeep Wrangler.

It gets toughened glass and higher quality steel components for the body. On the front, you can see customized Bull Bar, ARB steel bumpers and a motorized wrench. The bull bar and bumper combination looks deadly and can withstand high impact in case of an accident. Remember, it can also damage the front car very badly.

On the side, you can see the protruding wheel arches and wider steel wheels with dual-purpose tires. At the back, you can see the spare wheel mounted on the roof and more powerful headlamps. On the top, you can night lamps which can help the car being spotted from far away. Do not miss out on two sunroofs out of which, only one can be opened.
Inside the cabin, there not much changes seen. It gets different upholstery material, more comfortable sofa seats and special carpeting done. It gets three rows with two captain seats at the front and two three-seater benches for the second and third row. However, the third row seats are front facing and so you will have to enter from the second row itself.
Further, you can see it gets a touchscreen infotainment system that will help in navigation. The dials, steering wheels and the centre console has been kept in the original condition. The total cost for this modification is estimated to be around Rs 8 to 10 Lakhs and then, the additional cost of owning a Bolero.

In its current BS6 form, Bolero gets a new 1.5 Litre m75 three-cylinder turbo-diesel engine. Instead of 71 PS and 195 Nm of torque, the new engine produces 76 PS and 210 Nm of peak torque. The engine comes mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox as standard. Prices start at RS 7.98 Lakhs up to Rs 8.99 Lakhs (ex-showroom).
