Renault Triber is one of the most practical cars that you can buy under Rs 10 Lakhs right now! Priced right from 5 Lakhs it comes in close contact with all the hatchbacks including Maruti WagonR and Hyundai Grand i10 as well. Plus, it is a 7-seater which has its own advantages of being the most affordable MPV.

It comes with two captain seats at the front, three-seater bench for the second row and a two-seater bench for the third row. However, you can remove the third seat row completely to make it a five seater with a very big boot. Removing the last seats is not that tough and you can see the process in our video above.

There are two handles which you have to pull upwards to first, recline the seat. After reclining, at the bottom, there is a holding which you have to pull. After pulling that, the seat will first move up and then you can remove it with both your hands. To install it again, you have to slot the seats into same poster and that’s done!

As you can see, even at back a full-grown adult can be seated comfortably. However, for better comfort, it is advisable to get your kids or someone who is under 5″5′ to be seated at the back. The third row gets its own AC blower at the roof so that they do not feel claustrophobic. Interestingly, you can also fully recline the second-row seats to make it a two-seater with an enormous boot.

Triber is powered by a 1.0 Litre three-cylinder petrol engine that produces 72 PS and 91 Nm of peak torque. Gearbox options include a 5-speed MT and a 5-speed AMT. While the engine is just about adequately powered, more people will take a toll on the mileage. As per our road tests, with five people seated the car returns about 14 kmpl.
