Maruti Suzuki is offering heavy discounts on S-Presso of up to Rs 53,000 which will be maintained throughout the festive season.
Maruti S-Presso is available again with heavy discounts of up to Rs 53,000 for this month. Mostly, the offers and discounts will continue throughout the festive season, possibly even more discount could come in. This is the second car in the lineup to get the highest number of discounts, the first being Maruti Celerio with offers of up to Rs 58,000.
Maruti S-Presso gets Rs 23,000 instant cash discount, Rs 20,000 as exchange bonus and Rs 10,000 as corporate discount. Prices of the micro SUV commence at Rs 3.71 Lakhs up to Rs 5.18 Lakhs (ex-showroom). If all these discounts are in place, you can actually buy the top-end variant well under Rs 5 Lakhs. Even the base variant will come down to around Rs 3 Lakhs.

Maruti S-Presso is the second best selling entry level hatchback, the first position taken up by Maruti Alto. The latter is a bigger and more trusting brand name, which is the sole reason for its high sales. S-Presso is just some thousands costlier than Alto and mildly cheaper than the WagonR. Because of both these high selling products, S-Presso has been stuck in the middle with considerably lower sales.
S-Presso gets a 1.0 Litre three-cylinder petrol engine that produces 69 PS and 91 Nm of peak torque, paired with a 5-speed manual and a 5-speed AMT. Features onboard include a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, steering mounted controls, power windows for all four doors, electrically adjustable ORVM, rear parking sensors and rear wiper-washer.
Reports suggest that, by next year, Maruti will replace the Alto with a completely new generation model. It might be priced even lower and offered with an 800cc engine only. Even the Celerio for that instance is probably going to get a new generation upgrade next year, with more powerful engine and more features.
