The first accident that we reported about Tata Altroz was with a second-generation Maruti Swift. Here is another accident that involves both the hatchbacks again in an accident with a similar turn of events. While Altroz braved through the accident, it was the Swift that had a lot of damage.
Exact details of the accident are unknown but look like both of them were at a high speed. Probably, the driver of Altroz must have applied emergency brakes or the driver of Swift could not have controlled his speed. The damage on Swift is very bad while on the Altroz, it is very hard to find.

Tata Altroz gets a small dent on the bumper and its emergency brake lamp has come off. That’s just it. On the other hand, the whole portion of Swift have crumpled up. The bumper has come out from the socket and the bonnet has been crumpled. Even the headlamps have been broken. All passengers are safe inside the Swift as well in Altroz.
Tata Altroz gets 5 star safety, making it the safest hatchback of the country. Maruti Swift, on the other hand, gets a 2-star safety rating. However, the car involved here is the second generation model which did not get dual airbags as standard. Only the top-end variants came with airbags, parking sensors and ABS. Although, the international-spec Swift gets a high safety rating.
Altroz gets a 1.5 Litre turbo-diesel engine and a 1.2 Litre three-cylinder petrol engine, paired with a 5-speed manual stick. It is soon about to get a 1.2 Litre three-cylinder turbo-petrol motor that will produce around 115 PS. This engine is expected to come mated to a 7-speed DCT as standard. While it has already been spotted testing on roads, we are expecting its launch next month itself.
