Here is a detailed variant wise price difference between Renault Duster Turbo and Nissan Kicks Turbo, both of them with the same engines.
Renault Duster now gets a 1.3 Litre turbo-petrol engine after its diesel engine was discontinued due to the BS6 norms. The same engine also comes on Nissan Kicks, which is based on Renault’s elder sibling, Captur. Both of them are priced very competitively, competing with the likes of cars like Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos and Maruti S-Cross Petrol.
Not to forget, the same engine with the same figures now powers the Nissan Kicks as well. Kicks is placed a segment above than the Duster, locking horns with the discontinued Renault Captur. While their dimensions are similar, Kicks is more premium than Duster. However, now both of them are priced very similar which puts them in a tough competition.

The difference between most of the variants of both the SUVs is around Rs 1.5 Lakhs. The top-end RXZ MT is comparatively 1.89 Lakhs cheaper than the XV Premium (O) variant of Kicks. However, if we compare the CVT variants of both the SUVs, the difference is a maximum of up to Rs 75,000.
While the Kicks is longer than Duster by about 24 mm, the latter is wider. So, the cabin space is pretty much the same in both cars. However, Nissan Kicks gets many premium features like auto headlamps, rain-sensing wipers, four airbags, 360-degree camera and Remote Engine Start.
While Kicks might not be as popular as Duster, the former is quite an underrated car. Both of them get the same 1.3 Litre turbo unit that produces 156 PS and 254 Nm of peak torque, paired with a 6-speed manual gearbox and a CVT. The mileage figures will be different as Kicks is about 100 kilograms heavier.

If you can stretch your budget by more than a Lakh, we would suggest you to go with the Kicks. However, if you are on a tight constraint, Duster will be well enough for you despite missing out on some handy features. If you do not want to go for the turbo unit itself, then Duster will be definitely a much cheaper choice.
