The Toyota Innova Crysta facelift was expected to debut in India sometime in 2021 but it will arrive sooner than expected. Reports suggest that the Innova Crysta facelift could be launching in India by the first week of December itself. Select dealerships have even started accepting unofficial bookings for the facelifted MPV and reports suggest that it could be costing about Rs 50,000 more than the current model. The current model is priced between Rs 15.66 lakh and Rs 23.63 lakh (ex-showroom).
Here’s what you can expect from the Toyota Innova Crysta facelift
Toyota officially revealed the Innova Crysta facelift for the Indonesian market earlier last month. While the overall shape remains the same, the Innova Crysta packs in a lot more bling now. Most of the changes are concentrated on the face of the MPV with the new grille being the most obvious change. Not only is the grille larger than before, it comes finished in black with five horizontal slats instead of the two chrome-finished ones seen on the present car. There is still some chrome though, in the form of a thick chrome surround around the entire grille. As for the headlights, while their size and shape remain the same, they get new chrome extensions that merge into the grille.
The bumper down below has also been completely revised with a much more aggressive and sporty design. The fog lamps are now vertically housed with a thick, triangular black surround in a deep inset in the bumper and it also features an integrated bull bar (well, sort of) finished in a contrast black shade with two additional fog lamps. The Innova Crysta facelift also gets new design for the alloy wheels which come finished in silver or dual-tone darker look, depending on the variant. At the rear, there’s a new contrasting black hexagonal trim piece in between the tail lights, covering the number plate area.
On the inside, the dashboard design remains exactly the same as the pre-facelift model. However, there’s a new design for the instrument cluster and a new 9.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. Toyota has also added an in-built air purifier. As before, the cabin gets an all-black theme with either a six or seven-seater layout. The equipment list remains unchanged from the pre-facelift model. Top-spec models of the Innova Crysta get features such as seven airbags, speed-sensing door locks, cruise control, vehicle stability control, hill-start assist, keyless entry and go, ambient lighting, leatherette seat covers, reversing camera and more.
