Besides the commuter segment, the 150-160cc sporty commuter department is the most active. We have bikes in this category from almost all the manufacturers, some even having more than one. Here is a quick drag race between Yamaha R15 V3 Vs Bajaj Pulsar 150 Vs Hero Xtreme 160R and Honda CBR150R.
On papers, Bajaj Pulsar 150 is the least powerful here and CBR150R is the most powerful. The power figures of R15 V2 and Xtreme 160R are similar, while the R15 V3 is a lot more powerful. As the race starts, R15 V2 is the quickest one off the line and takes an early lead among all the four motorcycles.

Followed by that, the second in line is the CBR150R and then, followed by Xtreme 160R and Pulsar 150. Despite having low power figures than the CBR, R15 manages to take an early lead. As the speed increases, the gap between all the three and Pulsar further increases. Both the superior 150cc motorcycles cross 100 and start losing Xtreme 160R as well.
Towards the end, Honda CBR150R manages to overtake R15 V2 offering slightly higher top-speed. At the end, we can see Yamaha R15 V2 and CBR150R battling out the drag race at a very close competition. Both of them cross the finish line at the same time, leaving the other two motorcycles heaps of distance away.
Honda CBR150R was discontinued in India a couple of years ago, due to gradually decreasing sales. R15 V2 has been replaced by the R15 V3, the new generation model. It is styled more aggressive, offers slightly more power and torque and also gets the VVT technology which improves the performance side.
