It is not unknown that Citroen is planning to launch a compact SUV in India next after the successful launch of its premium mid-size SUV, the C5 Aircross earlier this year. The C5 Aircross was launched with the aim of introducing the brand to our customers and therefore, the French carmaker wanted to focus on its strengths which are unique design and comfort features for the passengers. It had already announced that the mass-market product will enter the compact SUV segment soon. Earlier, we had reported the design model leaks on the internet of the C3 and now the interiors of the C3 have been spied in a video. Let us take a look at the features and interiors that the C3 is most likely to come with.

Citroen C3 – Spied Interiors
The video gives a glimpse of the cabin of the C3 which will carry the unique square theme which is typical of Citroen products. In fact, the exteriors are designed with squared-off elements at various places and the Digital Driver’s Instrument Cluster is also designed in the same way. There is a free-floating large Digital Infotainment Touchscreen Setup that occupies a large chunk of the centre console along with all-black interiors for now. At the time of production, however, there might be changes to that. Also visible in the spy video is the 5-speed manual gear level, which tells us about the transmission option for the C3. Apart from that, the Steering Wheel is a multi-purpose unit with Audio Control and maybe Cruise Control Buttons. It also has a sporty design with a 3-spoke layout. All in all, we expect the C3 to have a ton of modern equipment and features which is also the strength of the French carmaker.

Citroen C3 – Expected Exteriors
According to the design models leaked earlier, the exteriors of the C3 will feature the typical Citroen design language, which is also the unique selling point of the brand globally. We expect features like a bold front end with LED headlamps with DRLs, squared-theme all over the exterior including the front bumpers and side body panels. There will a set of alloy wheels and possibly the roof rails to give it that crossover look. The rear might also feature LED tail lamps, roof spoiler and that square theme on the bumper. The C3 is likely to be more of a crossover than a proper SUV. That is true for its international model as well. The dimensions will be under 4m in length to avail of the tax benefits to keep the costs in check.

Citroen C3 – Expected Powertrains, Prices and Rivals
The C3 will most likely come with a 1.2-litre turbo petrol engine, making a healthy 130 hp. The transmission options might include a 5-speed manual and an automatic. These could be the best-in-segment power output figures but Mahindra XUV300 Sport will feature the new-gen direct injection turbo petrol engine from Mahindra’s mStallion family which will make similar power. Being a compact SUV, the C3 will take on the likes of Hyundai Venue, Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza, Kia Sonet, Tata Nexon, Mahindra XUV300, Renault Kiger and Nissan Magnite. The prices are likely to be very competitive to take on the competition and we expect the prices range of Rs 7 lakh to Rs 12 lakh, ex-showroom. This is to be achieved through heavy levels of localization which Citroen is focussing on currently.
