Skoda Kushaq service and maintenance costs have been explained in a video on YouTube. Kushaq is the mid-size SUV from Skoda rivalling the Creta and Seltos in the mid-size SUV segment. Launched recently, Kushaq has a ton of curiosity revolving around how expensive it might be to own one. In the past, Skoda products have had a bad name for being too hard on your pocket to own. However, with heavy levels of localization, Skoda is all set to change that. This, along with an increased dealership and service centre network aims to achieve a better ownership experience for the customers. Let us take a look at the tentative service costs for around 8 years of ownership.

Skoda Kushaq Service & Maintenance Costs
All the numbers mentioned in this post are for the 1.0-litre TSI turbo petrol engine. The larger 1.5-litre TSI unit has relatively lower levels of localization and therefore, the costs of service and maintenance will be higher. Also, these numbers are not official but are likely to be the actual service costs. There are three packages to choose from, Standard, Enhanced and Comprehensive.

Standard Package
This package includes things like Oil Filter, Drain Plug and Washer, Air/Pollen/Fuel Filter, Spark Plug, Brake Fuel, V-Belt and such components replacements. This will cost you in the range of Rs 30,000 and will be valid for 6 years or 1,50,000 km (whichever is earlier). The Skoda Kushaq comes with a 4 year or 1,00,000 km standard warranty.

Enhanced Package
This package will cover a few more important things in addition to the ones mentioned in the standard package. This includes things like Front Brake Pads, Front Brake Discs, Rear Brake Pads and Rear Brake Discs. The Enhanced Package might set you back by around Rs 40,000.

Comprehensive Package
In addition to all the parts mentioned above, this package will protect you against the failure of important mechanical components like Clutch Assembly (Clutch Plate, Pressure Plate, Release Bearing, etc), Flywheel and Battery. If you are looking to stay tension-free for a long time regarding every sort of repair cost, then this is the one for you. The Comprehensive package can cost you in the ballpark of Rs 60,000.

Skoda Kushaq – Specs and Prices
The Skoda Kushaq comes with the legendary 1.0-litre TSI turbo petrol engine, making 115 PS and 175 Nm and its bigger sibling, the 1.5-litre TSI turbo petrol unit making 150 PS and 250 Nm in action with the Kushaq. Complementing the 1.0-litre engine will be a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic transmission. The larger 1.5-litre unit will come mated to either a 6-speed manual or a 7-speed DSG (DCT) gearbox. The prices of the Skoda Kushaq range between Rs 10.50 lakh and Rs 17.60 lakh, ex-showroom.
