While the front-end features an all-black theme in the grille, bumpers, bonnet line, smoked headlamp units, skid plates along with the typical modern LED DRLs on the top and headlamps on the bottom with the fog lamps. The side profile is accentuated by the massive alloy wheels with high profile tyres typically required in the off-roading scenarios, Sporty Roof Rails, Side Steps along with a raised suspension setup to clear any obstacles in the form of rough and uneven terrain which such vehicles often find themselves on. The rear features curved LED taillamps connected together by a glass strip. This gives the SUV an extremely modern rear profile along with curves on the boot lid.

The current-gen Tata Safari comes loaded with a ton of features. This includes a large Panoramic Sunroof with anti-pinch function, Reclining Second Row Seats, Ambient Mood Lighting, Automatic Temperature Control, Cooled Storage Box, 6-way Powered Driver Seat with adjustable lumbar support. On the tech front, there is an 8-inch Floating Island Touch Screen Infotainment System with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, 9-speaker JBL audio system, Instrument Cluster with a 7-inch Coloured TFT Display, Voice Recognition, Connected Car Tech called iRA and Bluetooth connectivity.

The engine on offer is a 2.0-litre Kryotec diesel making 170 PS and 350 Nm of peak output. There are options of choosing between a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic gearbox. Tata Motors has also left the option of incorporating a 4×4 drive system at a later stage if the demand arises. The Safari ranges between Rs 14.99 lakh and Rs 21.81 lakh, ex-showroom.
