Ahead of the much-awaited launch of the 2018 Hyundai Santro, the images pertaining to its exteriors have been leaked on the internet. These images give us a detailed insight into the aesthetics of the next-generation of this compact hatchback. Hyundai has so far only partially revealed the Santro and is only going to completely do so on the 23rd of October, the day of the official launch of the hatchback in India.
The leaked images of the 2018 Hyundai Santro surface as the units of this hatchback start arriving at company dealerships. Before this, there have been several other such images which have surfaced on the internet. Not only this but we recently also shared with you a few videos of YouTube which gave a complete walkaround of the 2018 Santro.
The new leaked images showcase the exteriors of the 2018 Hyundai Santro (Read More) in full-glory. So far, we already knew about the front fascia and the side profile of this hatchback. However, now we can tell you how does the new Santro look like from the rear as well.
On the back fascia, the Santro gets wraparound tail-lamps which are very neat in their design. Hyundai has played it safe with the design of the boot-lid as well. It is quite simple yet gets a nice bulge in the middle. The rear bumper, for once, too looks quite good to look as well, thanks to the plastic elements and the augmentations on the edges.

The variant seen in these images is the top-end Asta variant. Hence, it comes with features such as a rear wiper and washer. Also, one can notice the rear parking camera tucked below the Hyundai logo in the centre of the boot-lid. Furthermore, you can see the two parking sensors right in the middle of the bumper.
Up-front, the 2018 Hyundai Santro comes with a mature stance. It gets large sweptback headlamps which resemble some extent to the ones seen on the Grand i10. However, the design of the bumper is exclusive to this hatchback. The side profile gets several sharp aesthetic elements which keep things interesting.

The interiors of the 2018 Santro comes with a very contemporary design layout. It gets a dual-tone colour scheme of black and beige. The top-end Asta variant is loaded with several features. Such as it is going to come with a touchscreen infotainment system, steering mounted audio controls, the day an night IRVM along with others.
In term of safety, the 2018 Hyundai Santro comes with driver’s airbags along with ABS and EBD as standard across all variants. Higher variants come with dual-airbags.

The new Santro comes will go on sale with a petrol engine. This unit is a 1.1-litre, 4-cylinder engine which is good for 69 BHP along with 90 Nm of peak torque. As standard, all the variants come with a 5-speed manual gearbox. However, there will be a 5-speed AMT gearbox on offer as well across two variants.
Going by recent developments, we can say that the prices of the 2018 Hyundai Santro are going to start at a base price of INR 3.87 lakhs. While the top-end variant is going to retail at a price of INR 5.29 lakhs (ex-showroom).
