Jawa 350 Vs Competiton- What to expect?

Jawa Motorcycles is making a comeback in India with 3 new bikes. Out of these three bikes, we pitch Jawa 350 Vs Royal Enfield Classic 350, Bajaj Dominar 400 and Mahindra Mojo UT 300.

After making an exit from the Indian market in 1996, Jawa 350 is all set to launch again. Classic Legends will launch 3 Jawa motorcycles in India, ranging from 250-400cc. Sadly, it would not get the iconic two-stroke exhaust note. Classic Legends assures that it will try to make the Jawa Motorcycles look as original as the earlier one. Ahead of its unveiling, we pitch it against the likes of Royal Enfield Classic 350, Bajaj Dominar 400 and Mahindra Mojo UT 300.

Jawa 350 faces its biggest competition against Classic 350. The recently revealed 300cc engine gets a liquid cooling system, which will come in the 350 too. So, the power figures are a bit higher than the Classic. Also, the Jawa will come equipped with a dual-channel ABS. The Classic 350 will also get is soon, but as of now, it only gets front and rear disc brakes. Since both are retro bikes, do not expect many features onboard. Lastly, the price expectation of Jawa is around Rs 1.3 Lakhs. The Classic 350 starts at Rs 1.39 Lakhs.

Now, this is the typical Old Vs New battle. Dominar 400 is one of the most feature equipped and modern cruisers in this range. The power figures of the Dominar are also much higher than that of Jawa, but a similar price range brings them against each other. The safety features are same onboard. While the Jawa follows a more retro charm, the Dominar gets all-modern with Split Reverse LCD Display, Automatic LED Headlamps and more such features.

Various reports said that one of the Jawa Motorcycles would use the Mojo’s 300c engine. Well, all those reports are wrong and Jawa has developed a new 300cc engine. The power figures of the Mojo are obviously lower than Jawa, but there is not much difference. Also, the Mojo misses ABS which is an important feature for performance bikes. The features again might play a role, but as such Mojo is not a very popular bike. The pricing range of both the cruisers is similar and the fact that Jawa is backed by Mahindra might also affect it.
