To improve the sales, Royal Enfield will bring the affordable variant of Thunderbird before the festive season.
Royal Enfield has been catering to the market by bringing in lower-spec models of their already popular bikes. We first saw it in Bullet then Classic 250 and now the Thunderbird. The Royal Enfield Thunderbird will see a single channel ABS just like we saw it in the Classic 350S.
Also, the new Royal Enfield Thunderbird will come in new colour options and some deletion in features. It is not sure if the nomenclature will follow an ‘S’ term or ‘X’ term at the end.
Just like the Classic 350, the bike can see the deletion of chrome elements and replace by blacked-out parts. Also, the rear wheel of Royal Enfield Thunderbird will get a drum brake instead of a disc and dual-channel ABS will be replaced by the single channel ABS.

This new model will definitely see a price cut than what it is sold for now. We can expect a drop in ₹10000 for the single channel ABS Thunderbird. These new editions are brought in to increase the sales number of their bikes. And the strategy is working and more and more people are preferring the budget models.
The new Thunderbird with single channel ABS will be available in the same 346 cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine which produces a total of 19.8 bhp and a peak torque of 28 Nm at 5,250 rpm and 2,400 rpm respectively.
The Royal Enfield Thunderbird will come with a 5-speed manual gearbox. Suspension wise it uses a telescopic fork at the front and the rear uses twin-sided gas charged springs.

In other news, the brand is also working on a new Thunderbird X which is scheduled to launch later, It will come with many visual upgrades and also a new BS6 engine.
Other updated with the new model include a chrome-plated exhaust muffler, new halogen headlamps and a revised tail section. The speedometer is now a single-pod cluster with a small LCD display in between. The new speedometer will show information such as riding range, gear indicator and real-time fuel efficiency.
