With the addition of these 17 new touch points, Renault India’s network has expanded to more than 390 dealerships or sales outlets across the nation while there are more than 470 service touch points.
Renault India has opened as many as 17 new sales and service touchpoints, which include 14 dealerships and 3 workshops across India from April to July 2020. The aggressive network expansion is part of a strategic business focus to grow the brand across existing and emerging markets. The new facilities are located in Himachal Pradesh (4 facilities), Telangana (3 facilities), Rajasthan (2 facilities), Uttar Pradesh (2 facilities), Delhi, Punjab, Andhra Pradesh, Assam, Tamil Nadu and Maharashtra.
With the addition of these 17 new touch points, Renault’s network in India has expanded to more than 390 dealerships or sales outlets across the nation while there are more than 470 service touch points. In July 2020, Renault recorded very strong sales of 6,422 units, which is a huge growth of 75.5% over last year and that’s despite these trying times. Renault has received very positive responses with the launch of the new Triber AMT and also the several new version that were introduced in the Kwid range.
Venkatram Mamillapalle, Country CEO & Managing Director, Renault India Operations, “Although we are cautious given the current situation, it is encouraging to see that we are attracting new dealers in these times, as well as getting more investments and expansion requests by existing partners. This is enabling us to expand our presence to cater to more customers in metro cities as well as emerging tier II-IV cities across the country,”

Renault has also been taking all necessary precautions in these times of pandemic, safeguarding the health and well being of all its customers and staff at the dealerships as well as the service stations. All dealerships, showrooms and workshops are also being completely fumigated each day before they are opened to the customers. Renault also has a very important launch coming up in a few days and they’d rather be up on their toes as they could be receiving a bunch of new customers.

arlier this year, Renault discontinued the very popular diesel engine from under the hood of the Duster due to the BS6 norms. They will soon compensate the loss of the diesel engine with a new 1.3L, three-cylinder turbo-petrol engine. This engine is also offered on the Nissan Kicks and it has the best in class numbers. With 153bhp and 250 Nm of torque on tap, it is more powerful than turbo-petrol variants of the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos and MG Hector. The engine will come mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox, along with an optional CVT automatic transmission as well. The launch is expected to happen in the later half of August.
